Children's Information Service
Torfaen CIS is a free service available to parents, carers and professionals throughout Torfaen.
We provide quality, accessible and impartial information and guidance on the full range of Early Years and Childcare services, resources and issues led by the needs of children and their families, carers, employers, professionals, local/national government and their agencies.
The service operates from County Hall, Cwmbran. We have a freephone telephone number which is manned between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, at all other times there is a 24 hour answer service.

We offer advice on where childcare providers are, choosing the right provision for you and your child, how to pay for childcare and much more.
Torfaen CIS is here to give clear impartial guidance for all your childcare needs.
We can also provide impartial advice on training for a career in childcare, setting up as a childcare provider and how to access grants and other sources of funding.
