Welcome to the Abersychan and Garndiffaith Local History Group
Abersychan & Garndiffaith Local History Group was formed in 1994 following a public meeting.
It was called a group because we did not have a retired vicar and a retired headteacher to justify being called a society.
Anyway, society would be too posh for a valley mining area such as ours.
Our first attempt at a web site was back in 2003 and it was aimed at members, local communities, and the descendants of the many people from this area who live all over the world.
We will develop this site according to feed back and hope you find it helpful.
